VALLEDUPAR 2026 Anti-Doping Program for the Pan American Games

The purpose of the Project is to promote fair play and the health of athletes by implementing various strategies to detect and prevent any type of sports-related violation outlined in the World Anti-Doping Code.

These strategies are based on the guidelines established by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), whose mission is to promote and coordinate the fight against all forms of doping in sport at the international level.

In collaboration with the national anti-doping organizations of each country, which seek to uphold the principles of the Code, including ethics, fair play, and honesty, as well as health, joy, fun, and teamwork.

The Americas Paralympic Committee (APC) is the authority responsible for testing and results management; it is in charge of enforcing current regulations, duly validated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), during the Games.

COLOMBIA'S NATIONAL ANTI-DOPING ORGANIZATION

The sample collection authority is responsible for implementing the testing distribution plan provided by APC. During the Games, this role will be assumed by the National Anti-Doping Organization (ONAD) of Colombia.

All CPNs, for athletes and support staff, are required to review and familiarize themselves with the APC anti-doping rules, which are based on the current World Anti-Doping Code.

Athletes and support staff will be able to consult the current WADA Prohibited List on the official website of the Games.
