Valledupar, August 25, 2025. There are 13 sports confirmed within the programming of the Parasuramerican Games Valledupar 2026, among them For archery, which has its stage ready in the soccer stadium Armando Maestre Pavajeau of the host city, after the endorsement delivered by the International Technical Delegate (DTI) of the Pan American Archery Confederation (World Archery Americas) Sergio Font.
A tour of the field of the stadium of the capital of Cesar, by DTI Font, resulted in the positive recognition of the Valduparense scenario, which makes viable the dispute for medals and points of this discipline, which expects to have 44 of the best archers from eight countries, who will compete from 13 to 15 July 2026.
“The scenario is very good, the field meets all the requirements; we will have no problems. I believe that Valledupar will be an excellent Games,” said Font, technical delegate of Cuban nationality, who has more than forty-five years of experience as an international judge counting in his resume with participation in nine Olympic Games (from Barcelona 1992 to Tokyo 2020), ten Pan American Games, Central American and Caribbean Games, South American Games, several world championships, in addition to his experience as DTI in the Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022.
The competition will be held in Valledupar 2022.
The DTI explained that Valledupar will have a high level with Para athletes winners of nicks and diplomas in Paralympic Games, in addition to qualifying and world championships. “The city is ready to receive the archers, we talked with those in charge of each area in the Parasuramerican Games, in logistical, sporting, administrative issues and that is very important, because you can see the good work and willingness on the part of the organization of the event, who are attentive to all the details and recommendations for our sport to develop successfully,” acknowledged Font, after his visit to the stage destined for his sport.
About the weather conditions in the capital of the department of Cesar, he said that they will inform the delegations that in Valledupar there are winds, which cannot be controlled, so that, ‘the archers prepare with training before the competition’, Font emphasized, also confirming that the winners of each competition of these games will add points for the world ranking.

The Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games are expecting more than 1,100 athletes from 12 countries: Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Suriname, Peru, Panama, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and host Colombia.
