Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia—three of the top four teams from the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games—will headline the historic debut of blind football at the 2026 Valledupar II Parapan American Games. The tournament, which will award a direct spot at the 2027 Parapan American Games in Lima, will be held from July 9 to 15 at the Agustín Codazzi sub-venue and will determine the first champion of this sport in the history of this multisport event.

The municipality is investing more than $3,398 million pesos to guarantee venues, services, optimal roads and logistical conditions. It will host soccer for the blind and Paracycling, two sports of the official program, as part of the institutional commitment that consolidates Codazzi as a strategic sub-venue for the Games.

The distances to compete in this sport, according to the different functional classifications, will be: 30 meters for visually impaired athletes, 50 meters for compound bow Para athletes and 70 meters, to which recurve bow participants will aim.
