The team, visibly accredited and wearing Parasuramerican Games apparel, maintains a presence in the different neighborhoods and sectors of the city, also highlighting the advantages that the multisport games will bring to Valledupar and Agustín Codazzi and facilitating registration for the Volunteer program, one of the most important areas in an international event of this type.
The director of the Parasuramerican Games Valledupar 2026, Elmer Jimenez Silva, highlighted the management oriented from the sub-direction of services to the Games and the coordination of volunteering, also pointing out that, it is the opportunity to make known the fundamental purposes of the fairs in every home of the city:
“We carry out a work that for the first time is so extensive in Valledupar, which aims to touch the doors and hearts of every home, characterizing the reality of people with disabilities, thus fulfilling what establishes the social project of our competition, which goes beyond the Paralympic sports development in the hemisphere.”
The work began last week, with visits to homes in the Comuna 5 of Valledupar and will last until the end of September, time in which it is expected to complete the characterization of homes in the capital of Cesar, a city that, according to the bet of the director of the games, ‘hopes to become an inclusive and inclusive territory, which has a culture of respect for people with disabilities and equipped with adequate infrastructure for all’.
