Valledupar, November 25, 2024 - As part of the preparation and planning for the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games, the Organizing Committee continues to advance in the construction of strategic alliances that will guarantee the success of this major sporting event. Through various actions and collaborations, we seek to ensure the quality of the experience for both athletes and attendees, in addition to strengthening the impact of the event nationally and internationally.

Working tables with universities

In a key initiative to involve the educational community, the Organizing Committee through the director of the fairs Elmer Jimenez Silva, developed working tables with the rector of the Popular University of Cesar Rober Romero Ramirez and Gelca Gutierrez Barranco, rector of the University Foundation of the Andean Area, universities in the region, Once they learned about the scope of the Games, they joined the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games, ready to develop a series of actions and strategies from academia, knowledge and knowledge for the success of the Games and to generate a legacy of inclusion in the municipality, the department, the region and the country. During these meetings, the first criteria were defined to encourage the participation of students and academics in different areas of the event, such as volunteering, research on accessibility and dissemination of the importance of adapted sports. Contributions from private companies: Avianca, Hotel Tativán and Sicarare

The private sector’s commitment to the Valledupar 2026 Parasur American Games has been fundamental in advancing the organization of the event. Among the most outstanding contributions in this first phase of the games are those of companies such as Avianca, as well as Hotel Tativán and Sicarare, who are already contributing and providing air transportation and lodging for the members of the organizing team to facilitate their actions and tasks in the city of Valledupar, host city of the games.

Meeting with hoteliers and educators

The Organizing Committee also held a meeting with local hoteliers, affiliated to COTELCO, in which they discussed issues related to the improvement of hotel infrastructure, training in care for guests with disabilities and
