Valledupar March 12, 2026. The organization of the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games announced the awarding of 100 scholarships for the Coaches Certification course, an initiative promoted to strengthen the legacy left by the event, through professional training in the field of sports coaching.

The process that will benefit more than one hundred people, was managed by the director of the Games, Elmer Jimenez Silva, and will allow coaches from different disciplines to access this academic program endorsed and directed by the Colombian College of Sports Training.

One of the highlights of this initiative is the financial support it represents for the beneficiaries. Usually, this certification process has a cost close to one million pesos per trainer, however, thanks to the management made from the organization of the Games, the scholarship recipients will be able to access this training for free.

“Our supreme interest is to contribute directly to all processes that impact the sport in Valledupar, promoting greater opportunities for training and growth for those working in the development of sport. The delivery of these scholarships is part of the direct actions of our Games, which transcend the competition, betting on the strengthening of human talent and the professionalization of sport in the region,”, said Elmer Jimenez Silva, director of the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games.

The course will have an intensity of 120 hours of training, in which participants will receive tools and knowledge related to training methodologies, physical preparation and technical development applied to sport.
