The meeting was held at the offices of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Coexistence of Valledupar, where the head of this sector, Pablo Bonilla, emphasized that “this would be the starting point to build a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety of all citizens. From this moment we begin to articulate efforts with each institution to design clear protocols, establish efficient devices and ensure that all scenarios, are prepared.”




For its part, the director of the Departmental Office of Risk Management, Petra Romero, said “that, following the instructions of the Governor of Cesar, will accompany and advise the construction of the contingency plan, reviewing each space to meet the highest safety standards, ensuring that visitors enjoy a flawless event and feel the pride of coming to an organized, welcoming and loving city.”
In the company of the first social manager of Valledupar, Milena Serrano Loaiza and other authorities, the director of the Games, Elmer Jimenez Silva, expressed his satisfaction with the positive outcome of the day, noting that this is just the beginning of a journey that motivates to redouble efforts: “It is not only about organizing a multi-sport event, but also about leaving a legacy of confidence, security, inclusion and pride, where every citizen should feel that these Games belong to them and that together we are writing an unforgettable page in the history of South American sport.”
Officials from the Governor’s Office of Cesar, the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar and the Mayor’s Office of Agustin Codazzi (sub-venue of the Games), along with the National Army, the National Police and Migration Colombia participated at the table. The Civil Defense, the Red Cross and the Departmental Transit Institute of Cesar, among other entities, also took part in the event and agreed on the importance of articulating efforts and preparing every detail so that the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games will be a reference of organization, security and inclusion at local, regional, national and international level.
