Agustín Codazzi on the road to becoming a sub-venue for the 2026 Parasuramerican Games

A quality level of services and the efficient adaptation of competition venues are the main bets of Agustín Codazzi to receive the Para athletes of the continent. Valledupar successfully closes Mission Chiefs Seminar and III Parasuramerican Games CoCom 2026

Valledupar, December 7, 2026. The coordination sessions and the Seminar of Heads of Mission for the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games ended on a positive note, with the participation of representatives of the participating countries, leaders of the Americas Paralympic Committee (AmPC), the Minister of Sport of Colombia, Patricia Duque Cruz, and the director of the Games, Elmer Jimenez Silva, together with his team from the Organizing Committee.

Valledupar hosts third CoCom and Parasuramerican Games 2026 Chefs de Mission Seminar

Valledupar, December 1, 2025. From Tuesday, December 2 to Saturday, December 6, the third Coordination Committee (CoCom) and the Chefs de Mission Seminar will be held in Valledupar, two important meetings that will bring together authorities of the Americas Paralympic Committee (AmPC) Staff and the heads of the delegations of the 12 countries of the continent that will be present at the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games.

Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Games organization successfully completes all international technical visits

The director of the Games, Elmer Jiménez Silva, offered a favorable balance less than eight months before the start of the multi-sport competition that will bring 1,120 of the best representatives of Paralympic sport in the South American hemisphere. With 100% of the endorsements for the venues of Valledupar and Agustín Codazzi, a key milestone for the organization of the II Parasuramerican Games in the history of hemispheric Paralympic sport has been reached.

José Luis Parada Stadium receives international endorsement for the development of the Valledupar 2026 Parasuramerican Parasuramerican Athletics Stadium.

Valledupar, November 19, 2025. During his visit to Valledupar, the international technical delegate of World Para Athletics, Giovanni Cardona Gómez, officially endorsed the José Luis Parada Athletics Stadium, located in the La Gota Fría High Performance Sports Unit, the venue where the Para athletics competitions of the Parasuramerican Games will be held from July 12 to 15, 2026.
