With the aim of generating a space for learning and cooperation between leaders, coaches, sports managers and the university community, the organization of the Parasuramerican Games Valledupar 2026 in conjunction with the University Foundation of the Andean Area, held the academic event ‘Trends in Paralympic Training: Training without limits, Science, Inclusion and Paralympic Culture.

With a large attendance of teachers, students, researchers, athletes, representatives of SENA and the economic-productive sector, the Academic Forum ‘Valledupar Inteligente 2026: Inclusive Sport, Economy and Sustainable Future’ was held, organized by the Universidad Popular del Cesar (UPC) and the Parasuramerican Games Valledupar 2026, within the framework of the agreement signed with the Colombian Paralympic Committee.

The General Assembly of the Americas Paralympic Committee is held in Santiago de Chile with the participation of 32 countries of the continent. The competition, which will award 11 gold medals in men’s and women’s individual events, will test the precision, concentration and tactics of the best exponents of this discipline created exclusively for people with severe motor disabilities.

ABC soccer for the blind: The echo of the goal, on the road to glory

Soccer for the blind will bring together 60 Para athletes from six countries who will compete from July 9 to 15 at the Parasuramerican field of the Agustin Codazzi Sports Village, official sub-venue of the II Parasuramerican Games in history. Argentina, Brazil, medalists in the Paralympic Games of Paris 2024 and Colombia, which finished in fourth place, will be the great favorites in the fight for the only gold medal in dispute.

Parasuramerican Games and the Mayor’s Office of Agustín Codazzi promote inclusion and sustainability in the schools of the sub-locality

The Secretary of Education of Agustín Codazzi and the Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Legacy of Valledupar 2026 met with rectors and representatives of educational institutions to promote participation in the II Parasuramerican Games. From July 4 to 8, the majestic cultural epicenter that the Government of Cesar is building in the capital of the department, will host the table tennis of the Parasuramerican Games Valledupar 2026, a sport that will have the participation of 80 Para athletes and the dispute of 37 gold medals.
